    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Read again mate, I said I DONT want those things haha I'm trying to make a controller like The Electric Brewery controller WITHOUT the extra bells and whistles and with only 1 PID controlling a single element.

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Any free time seems to be research at the moment! Majority of inspiration comes from the electric brewery but I plan to avoid the somewhat unnecessary and complicated additions like a key switch, volt/amp meter and more than the one element I will have (kettle is gas fired). I'll also be...

    Immersion Chiller- New

What size copper and length? Interested if you can hold it until I get back from Europe on the 23rd

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

So would anyone be able to illustrate the best way to incorporate these into a control box to keep it simple and safe with a wiring diagram? -Control box power (using e-stop/mushroom dpst switch since I have it?) -Sestos PID w/ pt100 -40a ssr -Alarm buzzer -Element switch (with or without...

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Thanks mate, appreciate the offer and info. As I've said a few times already: I won't be doing anything without fully understanding and the go-ahead by an electrician. Im simply learning at this point and wrapping my head around things. Asking questions helps and I'm fully aware of the dangers...

Looking to swap: stainless coils for HERMS coil

Thinking about it, 6m is my minimum. Otherwise I'd almost be better using my 50ft immersion chiller as a Hex, but that's not quite bling enough for me haha Will go the DIY method as a last resort but figured a swap to exchange this coil to someone who could use it would be good Which guy has...

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Thanks for the input fellas, definately not going to put together before I have all the wrinkles ironed out and have already arranged for an experienced sparky to check it, and the components, over before even thinking about plugging it in. I should have mentioned I did not make this diagram...

Looking to swap: stainless coils for HERMS coil

Will consider most offers for a coil of 6m 3/8" minimum to fit into a slightly taller and thinner keggle hopefully to fit around the inner circumference of the vessel and connected to ports through the wall of the vessel. About a 9-10" diameter opening on the Keggle id presume.

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Legend! Thanks mate, that was exactly what I was after! BUT.... As with most projects undertaken by brewers, it quickly escalated and after research have decided to go all out on a control panel, Two PID's Two pump controls Switchs for almost everything and xlr pt100 probes Thinking this wiring...

Looking to swap: stainless coils for HERMS coil

Hi all, Bit of a specific one and a long shot, but looking for a new herms coil for my Keggle HLT, none of these coils fit my purpose for a herms cool but have been using them successfully stacked within each other in a jockey box setup that I take away camping and to the odd party. Works...

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Basic as hell temperature controller unit: -1 sestos d1s-Vr-240 -1 power lead to power the unit -1 ssr with heatsink -1 output for the 2200w element I've got all the components as of last night, just need to find the right project housing/junction box from Jaycar and to assemble it. Does...

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Spot on! Already got 50ft of perfectly good heat exchanger at my fingertips so using that!

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Apologies, should have been more clear when writing this. I don't have a need or plan for cooling and after further research seems impossible with a simple build like this. Basically, I just want a temp probe and an AU plug to plug the 2200w element into, and have the PID turn that on and off...

    Super simple PID controller build/wiring

Hi, Trolled around a bit, but couldn't find any simple wiring diagrams for a PID controller with a probe and the necessary in and out/or heat and cool power sockets. I want to buy OR build one much like the KegKing temp controller, but with a PID controller instead of the STC style one. Here's...

WTB: Melb - Type S Keg Spear or Type S Keg

Hey mate, may have the spear you're after from an old keggle build, I'll have a geez when I get home and it's yours in exchange for a couple of bottles of your best [emoji106]

    FS: Temperature Control Unit

Hey mate, big ask but was wondering if you could provide a photo of the wiring? Been wanting to wire up a basic PID controller for a while Cheers

EOI on a couple of small Cascade crowns/rhizomes

Loco88, another guy's interested in them but if he doesn't want them you're next in line Housecat, I've heard a variety of ways to do it, a thousand ways to skin a cat at the end of the day, if you don't get frost, go ahead, plant them and wait for sprouts, others have alternatively kept them...
