Kolsch, I usually do a 2.5 L starter, save some yeast from the over size starter and put it in the fridge. Pitch the rest, say best part of a 2L decanted starter? Oxygen via 2min of pure O2 at 1L a min. Normal routine.

Sweet, the Kolsch mk2 is cold conditioning, will bottle in a couple of weeks. Pumped to see what everyone puts together.

That was my first run at this recipe. Have run through a keg of the mark II on the back end of winter which has been nice but headache inducing... I have a couple of bottles from the mark two sitting around. Happy to flick you one.

Like others I knock it down to 80 with an immersion chiller and then add the steep hops. Leave it for 20 then chill down to as close as pitching as my immersion can get me. I recently was listening to a podcast re DMS and leaving wort at warm temps for an extended period. Not sure if it impacts...
