    Kegging Setups

Yes they are aluminium. Apparently they have Pluto guns and some connections hidden away deep in the shed. It's taken him 12 months to find this one haha

    Kegging Setups

Has anyone seen these kegs before? I'm yet to see this in the flesh but was sent this photo today. Brother in law has a couple of them from when he used to manage a pub back in the day. Will hopefully inspect over the next month or so

How much beer have you brewed this year

About 200L, 50L was a gift to my brother for his birthday. About half as much compared to the previous year. Mainly kit and bits but now doing AG when I have time

Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

That's cool, looking forward to seeing what they bring out. I was going to hold off but I bought one last month anyway. I'm happy so far, with a bit of forward planning I can get it setup, switch it on to heat the water up to mash and do other jobs around the house at the same time. Same goes...

Thanks Pratty, maybe it just tasted different after cold crashing. It's my first proper partial mash with 2kg grains too. Hope it works out!

My Next Brew - an Imperial IPA

Hi Pete, My taste pallet isn't that good, I have used 150g Special B and only picked up caramel flavour similar to caramalt. Oh well. Yeah will share for sure, it's pretty simple and I'd say fairly easy to adjust kit can for a Coopers Pale Ale tin. A box of BE3 and some dry wheat malt could do...

My Next Brew - an Imperial IPA

Gday Pete, Your recipes sound great. I think with some beer it really works out well blending some different grains together. Looking forward to your results. This weekend I'm putting down a Stone and Wood pacific ale clone, for a friend. After that I'll be making my partial mash IPA...

    Too late for a Porter?

Hey guys, glad a made it nice and hoppy! It's probably even more towards a hoppy American brown ale to be honest. I just got a Robobrew, so looking forward to exploring the goods of grain brewing soon. Thanks for the recipe suggestions at the start of the thread. I'll have a crack

My Next Brew - an Imperial IPA

Gday Pete, Sounds delicious! Do you still use the Coopers kit can for this or is it per the recipe with dry malt etc? I need to get some Rye, it's making my mouth water!

Add on air con to ducted gas heating

Yeah insulation is needed everywhere. I've started installing it in some walls in rooms that I've renod and also parts of the roof. In time I'll get there. I'd like to get splits but where the bedrooms are there isn't place to install where it would make it into all bedrooms. Otherwise yep, one...

Add on air con to ducted gas heating

Hey gang, My family and I are looking to upgrade our heating and cooling to an "Add on air con to ducted gas heating system". New ducts via the floor and decent size to take bigger requirement for cooling. Does anyone have this type of cooling system? If so, what's it like? House is in...

My Next Brew - an Imperial IPA

Whoa Pete, that's one badass IPA you made! I believe home brew beer effects me more than commercial beers these days. Not sure why. Most of my beer is around the 5-6% mark but usually 2 beers in a sitting effects more than 8 pots down at the pub?

    Basic Calculations For Partial-Mash Recipes

Gday Pete, Thanks for the reminder. This one has been moved down in my list of things to do but I'm thinking something like the following: Superseded IPA IPA Thomas Coopers IPA can 1kg Maris Otter 500g Joe White traditional ale malt 250g Joe white crystal malt All mashed between 63-68C as best...

Wort In FV Without Yeast - How Long Is Too Long?

Sorry to thread jack but it's relevant. I know no-chilling in a cube is common and good results but can you no-chill in the fermenter, add hops? Wait for temp drop and pitch yeast? Full volume boil BIAB...
