True, but wouldn't regassing a fridge be more expensive than buying another used one off gumtree or similar? my old kegerator is strugglng to get below 6C so interested in knowing.

Depends on how fine that mesh is and if you nochill you can always leave the leftover crud in the cube. Cat, skin many ways.

Always worth a shot. Some brewers are quite happy to give you ingredient ratios while others guard them like their life depends on it.

LOL your ratios are pretty close to my tried and tested ones. I'd be surprised if it had such a huge amount of Munich as I find it gives a very malty and kind of thick taste (don't know how to describe it) and my notes an this beer include - little malt taste slightly watery but still enough...

I'd be pretty sure there would be a big chunk of base malt behind the munich but don't actually know. I've done IPA's before with 70% pale 15% munich 10% wheat and the rest Crystal which is kind of like Carahell. I think the hops would be the main driver for getting something close to a clone...

Not sure the Kegland one is much better than your average ebay one. If you want accurate readings you have to pay bigger bucks. If it's not a famous brand you get what you pay for. If it is a famous brand you're buying the logo.

Well the hops don't sit right for an English for me - they are basically German hops. I'd be looking at East Kent Goldings and or Fuggles instead. Not sure oats are needed either but probably best to mash with the BE3 for a while if you add them.
