All of "red's" gear is the goods. He doesn't go half assed either. That control panel is pretty amazing. I suspect there is a number of us that are dark-siders ;)

It's quite nice. Excellent craftman ship and very well polished. For this alone it scores alot higher in my book then 95% of other DIY. This bloke has some serious skill. I'm also following this on another forum ;)

This gets asked fairly regularly. Generally consensus is not a problem moving them around. Same as fridging a bottle and then taking it out. It will affect the storage life of the beer if its warm (compared to if its kept cool) but at the rate most of us drink here, I'd say that would barely...

I have actually experienced this attitude in a BC in Brisbane area while being a complete noob starting with K&K. I've since gained a fair amount of knowledge (relative to what I did know) and now get on with the bloke fairly well. That said, if I wasn't fairly thick skinned, the embarrassment...

Just done some more reading and nailed down my first 2 recipes. Dr Smurto's Golden Ale & Rude's English Those two brews should give me a good base to get started and work the potential kinks out of the setup and learn the ropes before I move on to more advanced beers.

Getting all my gear ready and gave the 40L Birko a test run tonight to make sure she could do it. First BIAB goes down on Monday! Still looking for a recipe that I can decide on. If anyone the would recommend or has any suggestions, I'm all ears! Preferable to keep it fairly simple for a first...

The floating white on top. I've never seen anything look like that before, and I've never left a beer that long in the fermenter. Is it just yeast from the batch still cruising around or what? Probably got the right idea though. Keg it, if it tastes like ****. Throw it out and start again.
