So can you explain the logic with this setup WEAL? Are you thinking that the one Helix gets covered up with trub too easily?

Awesome thanks for that. I don’t use the top plate and have noticed my sparge water flows through too quickly so will try pushing down on the grain bed with the top plate in future. Will also be trying to condition my malt and see how I go. I have to throttle my pump. Thanks for the info.

    Counter pressure can filler

Thats the cp bottle filler. This seems to be very similar but for filling cans. Looks like you can seal them too maybe by hand which makes me think its not a proper can seamer but a lid that closes down on the can. Something you would have to re use. @BrewsWayne, What forum was it on and what...

Strange taste in beer from wheat

The flaked wheat had a use by date of 10th August 2019 so only had a couple of weeks to go. The malted wheat was Gladfield and Im not sure what the use by date was. i milled it all myself.

    Oxidation Problem

Here is the recipe. Interestingly enough I brewed a NEIPA after this one and it too has the same sort of cardboard or dusty taste although not as noticeable but I also didnt use any flaked wheat, only wheat malt. The only thing thats changed in my brewery is both these brews were the first...

    TILT HYDROMETER

I have an Ispindel-- connected to fermentrack software-- installed on a raspberry Pi-- via WiFi. I also use a brewpi temperature controller connected the same way into fermentrack. Its reasonably accurate but I too use it just to know when fermentation has finished and then I take a sample...
