Ss Brewtech "Chronical" 7 Gallon Conical Fermenter

Howdy brewers. Has anyone setup a dry hop chamber for their Chronical with O2 purge? I was thinking of getting a 1.5"butterfly valve and connecting it to the lid. Then on top of that fit a 1.5"sight glass and finally the 1.5" Pressurised transfer fitting as shown in my post above (No 113) So...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

There was a post somewhere here on AHB (I think) where someone used tri clamp fittings and a butterfly valve connected to the bottom of there fermentasuarus. But I cant seem to find it. Does anyone know where this post might be? Im after the links to the tri clover fittings?

Brewtech SS fermenting vessels discussion thread

So Ive just finished brewing a lager and its currently sitting at 18C. I opened the dump valve quickly for a 1 second burst and closed it again and a lot of yeast came out. I did it a second time and some more yeast but a bit of wort came out. Did it a 3rd time and it was 90% wort so left it at...

Brewtech SS fermenting vessels discussion thread

My past experience was with a ball valve as I have only just brought a butterfly valve. You can transfer wort and dump cold break/trub etc an hour later but the OP asked if you lose wort. Yes you do, but YMMV. You can dump yeast once fermentation is finished but you will also lose some wort...

Brewtech SS fermenting vessels discussion thread

YES. Especially if Im dumping out trub before pitching yeast or I havent cold crashed. So now I dont bother dumping before Ive CC'd. But if Ive cold crashed for a few days I get a nice thick yeast sludge come out first and then as the wort starts to flow I shut the valve. i brought a...

    Yeast starters and equipment

If I have some yeast in the fridge that Im not going to use just yet but is close to its best before date or that a yeast calculator says has low viability, is it worth making a starter for it to get some fresh healthy yeast created and decanting that off into a jar to store in the fridge? And...

    CraftBeerPI Brew Controller

So I finished my Craftbeer Pi controller for my Guten and am very happy with how it turned out. The main thing I wanted to acheieve from this is be able to use CBPi to control my Guten but also be able to switch back to the Gutens own controls as a back up if CBPi crashed or when I was just...

Tilt owners you happy with it ?

If you follow the Ispindel doc on how to set it all up its not that hard. There is a thread on it here that might be of help

Tilt owners you happy with it ?

Not quite, you either have to create a free account with Ubidots website (use the ubidots for education which they dont mention this on the Ispindel documentation.) https://ubidots.com/stem/ Or install fermentrack onto a raspberry Pi and connect via its IP address in a browser.

    EOI Voyager Malt.

I brewed a SMASH with Veloria and Idaho7 hops and it turned out awesome.

Tilt owners you happy with it ?

I looked at both and went for the ISpindel. Bee2Gee on here makes and sells them, for less than a third of the price of a tilt. Wifi connection to fermentrack which I also made a Brewpi temp controller which is also connected to fermentrack. I calibrated mine and it works great and fairly...

+1 for Bee2Gee and his Ipsindels. I have one running on fermentrack and its awesome. Take the time to calibrate it properly and you will find it stays fairly accurate. (Ignore that spike in gravity on the 6th July. It was me playing around with the settings)

ROFLMAO at "Cone of shame" Sounds like a good idea and I will give it a try. Just wondering if you pushed the T piece down in between the helix last time then the helix isnt really needed at all? Could I just have an elbow with a barb that faces up and then as the level gets close spin it...
