No Frills low cost pressure fermenting

You might want to make sure you either put them on the inside before you sell them or put that in your instructions. Ask Kane about my phone call tonight if he hasn't already told you.

    Spunding Valve

Ive read a few posts here and there where people are spunding at 20PSI and 20C but must admit i wasnt sure if this was the norm or an exception? So 15 PSI is the maximum you would normally do???

No Frills low cost pressure fermenting

well my first attempt using the fermenter king junior didnt work so well. Pitched my yeast and 24 hours later had high krausen. A quick pull on the prv showed slight pressure and I checked all the connections for leaks with starsan, but the pressure gauge sat at 0. Another 24 hours later and...

So if your going to pressure ferment in the fermentaurus or fermenter king junior and serve direct from the vessel are you guys dry hopping in a bag and pulling it out later or just throwing them in naked and letting them settle out when you chill the beer? Im worried about them causing grassy...

@Keg King How do you tighten the spunding valves onto the ball lock connectors? Do you just use thread sealant? Ive noticed when its fully tight the gauge is facing downwards

Looks ok. Nice and sturdy for plastic. I wanted to buy one for 2 reasons. 1. I needed another keg 2. I wanted to give pressure fermenting a try but having recently brought a Ss Chronical I didnt want to fork out more money for a fermentasaurus so this is a cheaper alternative. Will let you...

    Low dissolved oxygen brewing techniques

Whats the doughing in at 20C do? I thought the warmer the water the less O2 in it?? I used to dough in with a paint stirrer connected to my drill so will stop that. Might try the yeast and sugar in the strike water method as well. Maybe I will boil, smb and under let and use a 3V setup if Im...
