Late to the party on this one… recently upgraded from plastic buckets to brew tech SS fermenter. I also added a blowoff instead of using airlock/ bubbler. Not noticed on previous ferments, but on the current batch when I cold crashed - it has the dreaded suck back. Hardly any sanitiser left in...

Yeah I saw that - nice kit... I'm more interested in one of the small glycol chillers as I already have a SS fermenter. The chiller coil & neoprene jacket are relatively inexpensive

Time... but there is always FWK's. I recently got a Grainfather G40 so I can brew double batches... a little more set & forget as opposed to my single batch bas heated operation.

I got mine done at a dive shop in the Hemmant/ Lyrton area. Can't seem to locate them now on google. The process was painfully slow but they did lend me a 2kg tank while I waited. It was like 2-3 months. Went back a refill once I think and then Cannon Hill LHBS opened...

You add the LDM with the water instead of sugar. Yes, use the full 11g of yeast.

I like their beers and digs here in Brisbane. I haven't seen the doco nor could I really understand what point of the open letter was. I can't imagine many companies wanting to air their dirty laundry... meh
