    Clear candi is just sugar. Save your money and use dextrose. Leave out butter menthol or barley sugar. Will prob taste like diacetyl if you use them.

    Knurling on a Mashmaster Mini Mill

    I swapped my roller over to the fluted and it is milling very very quickly and I didn't even think my other one was that worn. I had to spend a fair bit of time sanding the spindles so they would fit. Should be able to mill 12kg in a few minutes now. Thanks Frank.

    FWIW when i did it since the mash was so thick I let it rest 2 hours and stirred every half an hour. I was happy with my efficiency. i got 55 or 60% on a 1100 SG.

    Ive done 17kg in a 50l keg. Rediculously thick. First runnings were 1100. Will do again. google "can I mash it" and use a calculator.

    Such a great mill and hopper. The stand......Still you could hook a bag over the stand. The tape on the bottom of the chair legs really set them off.

    Yob, Does it matter if you leave the lid on or off? Is it an evaporation thing and needs to be open?
