    Simple dual temp controller

Although this does mean the fridge can work as a fridge all the time without going into defrost mode, don't be overly concerned if you don't feel comfortable to do the bypass. When the fridge goes into defrost mode the defrost heater is after a defrost thermostat. If the evaporator isn't iced...

Rainwater chilling, sending back into tank, asking for trouble?

Prob getting off-topic from the original question, but if you were going to plumb a tank back into the house go at least 5000L. We have a 5000L plumbed just for the toilets and washing machine and it gets emptied way too often. Any water used for cooling in my brewery is normally supplied from...

Rainwater chilling, sending back into tank, asking for trouble?

Looking at the maths of it, 75L batch 1000L tank 75/1000 = 7.5% of the water tank vol If we assume the heat in the 75L wort starts at 100c (for easy maths), and ends at 20c (if the tank water is really cold to get that wort there), so 80% of the heat. 100L x 7.5% x 80% = 6c So the most you...

Looks like Freo will def be a trip, the wife loves pizza so the pizza and beer sounds like a visit. I'm thinking of heading over to the Swan valley direction as I have a couple of mates out that way, so may check out Feral.

    Yet another opening keg question

lift spear upwards first to break the seal, use a screwdriver spanned etc to help do it. keep lifting up and spin clockwards (not anti-clockwards) till it stops drop it down wards, then keep winding clockwards mandatory: add swear words

    Pubs in Perth and Freo

I'll be heading back to my hometown in the next few weeks. I left there over 10 years ago, so a lot would have changed. Is the Sail and Anchor, and also the Little Creatures still in Freo? What pubs are must visits?

    Keg King Elements

I find both around the 2100w once hot.

    Keg King Elements

I find the 5-star actually run at a similar wattage to the KK once they both heat up. Heat = resistance, it just depends on when you pick the wattage.

    Keg King Elements

I've purchased 5 Keg King elements so far, with all the promises of the "fixed in this version" and only have 1 left running. I can't afford to buy more **** from them. What makes me laugh is that dude recommending the new model removes one with obvious melting points, but the stainless is also...
