    Heating In Your Brew Fridge

Check to Soda Stream to regulator adaptor. Look into the regulator side of it. There is a hex socket that adjusts the plunger on the bottle side. If not screwed down far enough the bottle won't open hence no gas. As you are getting a spurt of gas but when attaching the bottle and then nothing it...

Suggestion for NZ / PACIFIC Blond Ale

Keep grain on the light side Mainly pale malt and you can add up to 30% wheat malt, this will enhance head retention. Galaxy is fine for bittering. No need for 60 min addition. I suggest a 15min addition and then Galaxy and what ever NZ fruity hop you like in whirlpool and dry hop. For this...

    Harvesting CO2

Have been using CO2 from the fermenter after 24hrs of active fermentation to purge sanitizer from kegs for many years without any problem. When active fermentation is on the way and all O2 gone from headspace increase pressure using sounding valve to 5PSI or so and start purging. Free CO2.

I grow Chinook and something similar to Cascade in NE Victoria High Country. Pick late April when they go brown. Used only in Whirlpool @ 80C for 30 minutes. Beer is sensational.

    Choc/ Coffee Oatmeal Stout

I’ve been using cacao nibs soaked in vodka for 24hrs. Brings a distinct chocolate character to a stout. You could also add a vanilla been or two but soak in vodka to sterilise.

If you decrease the voltage the current draw will also DECREASE as the resistance of the element remains relatively constant.

HERMS brewing process - Mash in and stiring

If the heating surfaces (elements, copper pipes, side walls...) are too hot you can denature all the enzymes as the wort flows over the heating surface, ?? You got me confused, this is a HERMS system, wort should never flow over heating elements as it does on direct heat 1V, 3V and RIMS system...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

As it will be stored in the dark, I vote for Translucent. Not practical to weigh a keg while connected in a Kegerator or portable cooler. Much easier to see how much is left.

Little creatures all grain clone recipe

Try this one, very close to LCPA on tap. This one comes out at 4.7%. You could increase the grain to get it to 5.2% as per original LCPA.
