Yay... finally got the chance to buy a 360 Core actuator, last major piece i wanted. All barring a site snafu where they aren't actually in stock... which looks like the case because the site now says they are coming back in stock Nov 2nd. 😧 Now i wait for the email and refund. :(...

    Priming sugar.

Brewers Friend has a great calculator you can use. You can input the size of the bottle and how much carbonation you want.

my fermentation with the 1st use of a tilt hydrometer

Do Tilts now have Wifi? or is it still bluetooth? I find it astonishing that a device that has such a high premium lacks basic wifi logging functionality and if you want constant logging you need to fork out more expense for a Raspberry Pi.

Woke up to the smell of Beer!

I have used a few swing tops a brewer mate bought from our local HBS, the quality was really good as least as thick as the coopers long necks i have used in the past but i have found them to be more trouble than they're worth. I have had a couple of swing tops explode off when opening (the dent...

Their website says it's about 190 litres a day. Do aussie homes typically have 3 phase power? i know a lot of industrial sites have it but i didn't think it was typical for homes to be wired that way.

Last Orders: West End Brewery in Adelaide to close

I wonder what will happen to the community water fountain, apparently the brewery sits on an aquifer which has good chemistry for brewing and they sell it outside for a $2 a fill. I have a few homebrew mates who make a trip there to get the water.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hey you are right, i was playing around with Brewfathers tools and was going from the 7.5 to 6.8 PH in the source water profile and it didn't affect the recipe PH level.

How "inaccurate" is inaccurate? i know you aren't going to get the precision from a sub $50 meter whether its a Beverage Doctor, a clone or chinesium crap from Aliexpress.

    Rice Hull Stockist In Adelaide?

Not to take away from the mans business but they really need to get their website in order, went to make an account and got my log in details sent back to me in the account authorisation email, log in and password in plain text which means its stored on the server like that which isn't good if...

Yep, i tested my tap water and the report from SA water says that its an average PH of 7.5 but testing it comes at around 6.8.

@KegLand-com-au Something to consider, would it be feasible to add a spudger tool to your Fermzilla kits? its good that it fits really tightly but is a pain to get off and i don't want to go sticking a butter knife in and nick the o-ring. Also any ideas when you are going to be restocking...

    Hard lemonade

Probably a dumb question but how did you prepare the lemons? did you just juice them or peel the rind and cut into pieces? I am more then keen to do a hard lemonade and am interested to see how yours turns out.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

So maybe a dumb question but what is the right way of cleaning the probe? can you just run it under cold water and leave to air dry or do you suggest another cleaning method? Maybe for the ease of the user (especially if they are a novice like me) go back and edit the manual and clear up some...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Ok, i am not too sure about the differences in Melbourne and Adelaide tap water, its a lot better than it used to be. What is the range if you calibrate with the 6.86PH solution? Adelaide tap water has an average PH of 7.5 and most brews are around the 5.6PH level. Will the 6.86PH solution be...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@KegLand-com-au I am a bit confused by the digital PH meter especially the buffer solution, on the product listing on the site says to add water and it lasts "almost forever" but in the manual it says to use double distilled water and the solution only lasts 2 months. Can you use normal...

    Star San V Chlorine

What about Milton's solution? i know that is chlorine based but a lot of mothers use it to steralise baby bottles. I used to use it and found it worked really well for getting rid of odors but i found i needed to do a full rinse, with a 25L Coopers DIY fermenter it meant using a total of about...

It is, it's a Gen 3 Robobrew, bought it from you guys before you changed it up to the Brewzilla. I had a play around with it with some water and it seems to go down as low as 80 volts until the screen dims and it turns off but i still need to test it out with a proper brew.
