    Water chemistry

There are plenty of existing threads on this topic already on AHB. Try searching; not using the inbuilt engine because it's ****, but rather use Google. Go to Google.com and type site:aussiehomebrewer.com [your search terms here without the brackets] Here's an example, it just so happens that...

    Second-Hand Grain Mill EOIs

I second peteru. I shelled out all that dough for the MMMMMM because of its longevity, I don't plan on needing my old one. If the muncher breaks, my LHBS can mill for the interim.

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Grabbed me a case of Lord Nelson Three Sheets Pale Ale. $90.. f*ck me. Serves me right for supporting the local grocer, but I thought, I'll do 'em a solid. Also I couldn't be arsed driving out to another bottle shop and I had a party to get to. The beer is crap. I assume it's due to poor...

    Carbonation error

Why not shake, out of interest? Is there a danger I'll end up playing with it after three shakes?

    Carbonation error

Plenty of factors depending on that.. but give it 7 days, chill one down, and try it. For best quality you'll want to chill for 24hrs before opening but it sounds like you're under time pressures.

    Carbonation error

Hold on.. you bottled 100L?! Far out, I admire your effort. That would've taken a while, I understand your reason for concern.. Yeast will re-settle quicker when cold, but I doubt it really matters. Just to be safe give it a few hours before shaking, for maximum effectiveness.

    Carbonation error

Nah they'll be fine, the yeast haven't gone anywhere - just dormant. Warm them back up and give each one a good shake to resuspend the settled yeast, it'll kick right off.

Ball Lock fittings for non-pressure transfers?

..on the QD blockage question - it's been a problem for me with heavily dry-hopped beers. I avoided the problem by simply removing the poppet from the beer post on the receiving keg during transfer. Once the transfer was done, I sanitised and reinstalled the poppet.
