    Whats In The Glass

My final batches of 2017 were marred by faulty scales causing all my hop additions to be way off the intended dosage. They seem to have either under and over measured quantities each time. I'll give them a couple months but I may tip four kegs.. All I have on tap that I consider drinkable is...

How Much Did You Brew In 2017

I haven't the foggiest, I don't track such things. If Beersmith kept a count of the number of times I'd started the Boil Timer on the app though.. that'd be a reliable batch count. On average I brew a double batch per fortnight so I'm gonna go with 52 kegs = 988L.

Just how DO you get that juicy IPA taste and aroma?

    That's the point. It's pointless.

    Infection Photo Thread

I have a brewer friend who will force himself to drink an infected batch. I just don't have that sort of steeled resolve, **** drinking bad beer. I learn my lessons without punishing my taste buds

Producing ethanol is dangerous in of itself, squeeze oranges instead.

Get into O2 guys, if you're serious about nicer beer

How do you quantify that? Are you counting the particles? Use a paint stirrer, by all means, but if you want decent saturation you can follow the piles of advice given already to use a pure o2 system.

    Smart tv conversion

The Chromecast is like a USB drive in that there is no separate unit connected by a cable - just plug it into the HDMI port like you would a thumbdrive into a USB port. Super handy.

    Fermenting Under Pressure

I plan to dry hop in my fermentasauruses about ten points above FG. That oxygen ought to be consumed by the fermentation in progress.

Souring w/ Lactobacillus Plantarum from Probiotic Pills

IBS capsules are about a dollar's worth per 20L, that's hard to beat. I'd say Lallemand would be targeting those who currently use the liquid culture packets at $30ea instead, for them, $15 to inoculate a batch is a huge saving.

    Couple Of Ferment Fridge Questions

There's no reason why the same fridge couldn't be used for both stages of the process, as long as it can get cold enough. There are some who use old inefficient fridges for fermentation only, because the fridge can't actually reach CC temps. That being said, those who ferment in a chest freezer...

    Water chemistry

..actually I get different results every time I run that search for some reason, so here's my own experience in asking this exact question, with a fantastic response from the community a year ago. It was super helpful. https://aussiehomebrewer.com/threads/who-bothers-with-water-chemistry.93312/
