    How many taps you sportin'?

Cheers guys. As I pour my after work beers I'm just thinking, it's pretty common for me to tip half kegs and even sometimes fuller just to make room for the next brew that's ready so I can get another one underway so now thinking the 8 tap would be great. Considering I've probably tipped (15?)...

    How many taps you sportin'?

Looking at upgrading my series 4 kegerator and I'm having a hard time deciding how many taps to go for.. I'm thinking double it to six but really don't know if I should go a few more or if it's going to be total overkill. Help a brother out, how many taps do you have at home and would you like...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hi Kegland, or perhaps anyone else who might happen to know: The new plus series kegerator, does it come with two tap font cooler lines from the fan to cool the fonts as the single series fonts do on the four and X series? EDIT, have just watched the video and host says there's a T-piece you...

    Bavarian Weissbier Tips

Yes mate, as strange as it may sound. Wheat to me tastes like nothing, I've always had major success using a heavy Munich grist 👍 but yes, if you start with a 50/50 wheat/Munich schedule I'm sure you'll be very impressed

    Bavarian Weissbier Tips

I've brewed lots of wheat beers over the years and it's a very tricky style to get right despite the myths about it being simple. Things that haven't worked: Dried yeast. No! Please don't. Pils' and wheat grist. Always too watery (most EU wheat's have a more complex grist than this, look at...

    New to liquid yeast

This reminds me of a similar story. I have used German Bock yeast once before which is going on 2.5 years ago now when I used to bottle condition my beers. I lost this vial in a house move and assumed it had actually been lost but found it a few months later at use by in the open door of a...

    New to liquid yeast

Well I'm pleased to report we finally have takeoff! 😀🤟✅🍺 Fine bubbles after rousing this AM and full krausen tonight. That's five full days lag I also bought a Copenhagen lager yeast vial too with the same use by date. Will be making a big starter at least a few days before brew day for that one!

    New to liquid yeast

Thanks man, some good food for thought there. It would be nice to keep a few more strains handy. I just can't justify paying $13 per pitch

    New to liquid yeast

True, true. I used to think it was wild yeast just blowing in but this is probably more likely

    New to liquid yeast

So it's morning on the fifth day since pitching and still no activity in FV. Peering in with my lid off I can see the odd tiny bubble rise to the surface if I wait long enough, have given it a rouse and raised temp to 17. This is officially the longest lag I've ever experienced. Not sure why my...

    New to liquid yeast

I've generally been replacing the dried yeast slurries after about 5-8 uses as a preventative practice. Probably should really get myself a new 300 too come to think of it, it's been a long time. Could probably patent and sell as a new hipster strain by now 😂

    New to liquid yeast

Thanks mate, all my previously dried yeast slurries have always been ok. This one is my very first liquid pack from White Labs, WLP833 German Bock Lager apart from a WLP300 I've been using for almost two years now. I don't think they run out of steam, they keep breeding as others die off. It...

    New to liquid yeast

PS, Krausen in hydro tube that is (which could be leftover 34/70 that dried after washing tube a few days ago). Fermenter still looks dead as a doornail..

    New to liquid yeast

Hey guys, I've been lagering for so long with just 34/70 dried yeast that I continue to reuse over and over again by taking a litre of slurry from bottom of my fermenter at kegging, keeping in the refrigerator until next brew day and things have been fine I purchased a few different lager...

    Wheat malt vs. Raw wheat

Is this the stuff guys? https://shop.coles.com.au/a/national/product/duru-bulgar-corse-yellow Fwiw, recently reading about someone who did the Weihenstephaner brewery tour and was basically given the wheat beer recipe they've always said the Weihenstephaner was creamier, sweeter and always...

    Pilsner yeast

Hi everybody!! I've been just using 34/70 for years and years and have actually never tried anything else.. I used to be happy with it but the past year or so I've gotten a minute weird almost off taste I think is me disliking that particular strain so have just bought a couple liquid types...

Cubed pilsner fermenting before adding yeast..

Damn you're right aren't you.. Think I do remember a rubber seal inside at some point. And no more opening after hot cube!! Thanks mate
