    Fermentation Duration - Under Pressure?

Where do you download the free version? I used to go the website every now and again but it seems to have stopped working as of at least a couple months ago.

    Celli Geo50 icebank

I don't unfortunately. But sounds like you do know the pump needs replaced so I would start there before also replacing the thermostat. Just do it when you can keep a watchful eye on it so you don't kill another pump. Alternatively I'm sure Bracton could refer you to someone to repair it. But...

    Fermentation Duration - Under Pressure?

Refracs are good for quick checks while brewing. Once you get to fermentation you will need a hydrometer for accurate measurements. Plenty of material out there to read or watch about when to use each.

The pump is pretty easy to replace. Just remove the in and out lines going to the font then a couple screws to remove the the motor. KegLand have replacement motors, but probably best to confirm with them it will fit your chiller (95% sure the larger one will) Are you running beer through the...

    Fermentation Duration - Under Pressure?

I won't begin to try and understand how pressure is a reliable indicator of fermentation being complete. Too many variables and just a simply a bad idea. Probably worse than relying only on airlock activity. Whatever the source for that information I would be wary of any other advice or go back...

    Fermentation Duration - Under Pressure?

Finishing a ferment in four days starting at 16c and ending at 2c seems a bit off to me. It doesn't matter what you're using to make your beer. How you determine you have reached terminal gravity shouldn't be different. When you're fermenting at 16c to 2c in four days, how have you been...

    Clawhammer Supply Fermentation Keg testing

Interesting video and good marketing. Would like to know what engineers think about TC clamp handles like on the Mini Uni from Brew Tools. Something about it just makes me uneasy whenever I see it.

Alcohol not showing up on alcometer but beer tastes alcoholey.

Sanitization is a necessary for good brewing and so is measuring your gravities. Neither should be sacrificed for the other. Let the beer tell you when it's done. Don't set arbitrary timelines to tell the beer when it is done. Also taking gravity samples with a pressure fermenter is easy. Get...

Alcohol not showing up on alcometer but beer tastes alcoholey.

If you were expecting a 6% beer the 1.018ish reading seems a bit high. Only used Kveik once and it finished closer to 1.010 if I remember correctly. Best to take a couple readings over the next few days to see if it's still fermenting or not. Also, have a browse through the forum and have a...

Alcohol not showing up on alcometer but beer tastes alcoholey.

You need a hydrometer. Alcometer is for distilling.

Alternative to cooling coil. Dual Temperature Vest.

Most PET fermenters have some sort of jacket that you can buy for them. Alternatively, you could always use the box and packaging your fermenter comes in to make a cheap, easy, and light weight option for additional insulation. Old nonworking fridges or freezers would also work. Looks like a...

They have said it somewhere on here before. More Beer is one of their distributors, but I can't remember the other.

    hello from the USA

Welcome. Sure sounds like a case of beer ED. Have one stout in the morning, a pilsner in the afternoon and an IPA before bed. Should get you right in just a few days.

    Microbrewery DeadSpace Question?

Don't go the easy way of full volume mash. Learn the finer points of your system so you can adapt and get the most out of it when the time comes that you want to. When you enter mash tun dead space into the brewfather profile it is referring to the space below your malt pipe. In your case...

Equipment For Sale (MELB) Brewing set up - What's it worth?

Based on description $500-$700 at best for the lot, but you're likely not going to sell the lot to one buyer. The kegs will likely sell first for $80 tops. You might find a sucker to buy the taps at a premium because they read about Perlicks somewhere. The mill, urn, and CO2 cylinder with reg...
