What are you brewing in 2017 ?

Just brewed 80 litres of golden ale. I used the 50l brau as an ern and mashed and boiled in the 114 litre ss kettle for a biab. First time using beersmith. Hit all gravitys and volumes. So stoked i got 70% eff as specified in beersmith. I laterally had 100ml of wort left in the kettle after...

    Braumeister - Tips & Tricks

Yes you are corect, I ****** the volume up in my last post. I dont know how I missed it. What I did was go 60mm above the top mark on the rod which should be close enough to 65 litres. That last post was my mistake as I always think the top mark is 60L. Sorry about that. So i was 5litres down...

    Braumeister - Tips & Tricks

I brewed a Helles yesterday on the 50 litre brau but did it a little different. I dont know if its anything new or if anyone has tried it but I had great results so I thought I would share. Basically all i did different was, i filled the braumeister up to 69L to begin. I mashed in. The water...

    Show us your brewrig

Thanks for the info. Gives me a fair idea of where to go with the system plan. Also i see the electric brewery runs the herms coil through the HLT. Going to be better off with a smaller herms vessel? Better faster control hey?

Ok so your running the one element at full load of 18.75 amps. What volume do you boil and is it a decent boil? Im looking at 110 litres to boil and I want to know if one 4.5kw element will be enough.

Ok, hang on, im confused. Your saying you run 1 element on a 25A circuit breaker at 4500watts. So basically you have the two 4500watt elements running to 2 separate 25amp circuit breakers? Sorry if i sound stupid im just trying to understan how you supplying the heating elements. Thanks Gav

Hey mate nice setup. I was looking into the 32 amp but couldnt find much on power requirements for it. Is it 240v with over a 32 amp breaker? What is the current draw at full load? If so what size cable is run? Must be decent? Gav

    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

A few pics from the last second gen plants i had. I got smashes by fruit fly and just gave up in the end. Was sad really and now fully understand why they are such a pest. Anyway i got a few ferments and dried chillies out of these. I made a ferment just out of reapers and butch ts. Its the...

    Keezer rebuild

Thanks man. I spent all day on it lol The regs should be sweet in the fridge at 3 degrees. I would only be concerned if they were under zero because the bellows rubber might not have the same properties at freezing temps. Any moisture could cease them up as well.

    Newbie. Brisbane. Hello.

Hi mate, if you look long enough on gumtree you can easily pick up a decent fridge for under $50. There are some pretty cheap control switches on ebay as well. My beer definitely got better after temp control......and stainless conical and liquid ye....and.... Happy brewing mate
