New digital homebrew tap list software

Looks really good! Set up in 5 mins. Integrated brewfather easily. Only thing is it's not really friendly for setting up from a mobile phone. Hard to hit menu items with fat fingers lol. Really like it though

    Temperature controlled fermenting

Another plus for the old fridge as a fermenting chamber is when the main fridge in the house craps itself you can save the food! Mine did on friday night. Was due to brew on saturday so had one of the fermenting fridges empty. Unplug brewpiless controller and voila you have a fridge for food...

A bit of sandpaper on the edge of the pcb will do the trick. Don't go to far though, you want it reasonably tight so it doesn't move

You need to have a few calibration points. The more the better the calibration. I usually calibrate in filtered water for 1.000 then add a known point. eg if I put it in the fermenter with a wort I measured at 1.048 I would get the angle and add that as the second point. You could then calibrate...

    Which brew controller?

Not really. I started with building the new brewpi controllers then the fermentrack pi. Got the ispindels and added them. Been working a treat. I have thermowells in my fermzilla and allrounders so i can chop and change what i have fermenting at one time. I find the fridges are easy to use as...

    Which brew controller?

Fermentrack is what i use. Works really well. i have 2 fridges set up with brewpi controllers and ispindels in each. My fermentrack runs in a rpi3b+ and has been pretty bullet proof.

    Fermzilla

I only use the bucket blaster now. It's only ever had a micro fiber cloth in it

    Fermzilla

Feels completely smooth. Probably just a bit of film from washing still on it.

I was having an issue with 1 ispindel not connecting reliably. It would send the first reading, I would chuck it in the fermenter in the fridge and I wouldn't hear from it again until I fished it out and it maybe sent another update or two. I thought it was 'deaf' compared to my other ispindel...

    Fermzilla

yeah not sure. I only put stellarclean through it and a bit of stellarsan. Not too strong. Wondering if the TSP or acid might not play well with plastics

What are you using to clean with? Mine has had maybe a dozen brews through it and still nice and shiny.

    Back to wine/cider brewing

I think he actually used the 0.094 he said in his post as opposed to the 0.994 it probably was. Although that would be about 126%

I just use a heat pad/mat in the bottom of my fridge/fermentation chamber. It sits in the bottom and the stand for the fermzilla sits on it. Works perfectly well for me

    Third time lucky ginger beer

I do this recipe regularly. I use 500g ginger and 600ml vermonth (cinzano) and 600ml sweet sherry I personally don't peel or boil the ginger. I just chuck it in the processor then soak it. I put the ginger and chili in a bag and in the fermenter. Love this drink. Usually have some on tap at all...
