    Frozen fermenter

    It should be fine. Happened to me a few years ago - froze an entire batch of lager solid. Let it thaw and the yeast survived and the bottles carbed up just fine (took a bit longer than normal).

    I've done this a few times with good success using oak cubes (avoid chips for this - too much serface area). I'd recommend about 30g of cubes for 20L of beer.
