Hey Null. I'm not a big fan of the red plastic carb caps either. I pulled a few apart to clean and the o rings just **** themselves . Replaced the o rings and they were a nightmare to get back together. What size/material/where did you get your replacement washers for the stainless carb caps from?

When I was browsing the KegLand website I noticed your stainless handles say they will fit a 35L conical Fermzilla with a part no. of - KL14144. Just wondering how far off these bad boys are?

Just a quick tip. I'm not a fan of the PET caps supplied with the fermzilla with that little blue plastic insert in the caps. I don't know how sanitary they'll be if yeast and crud gets behind them. So I changed them out for Coopers PET caps that are a 1 piece design with nowhere for crud to hide.

I didn't convert any more sugar to alcohol. The dubbel went in an extremely wet barrel,5.2kg over tare weight. So my 8% dubbel was drawing barrel strength whisky (60%+ABV?) out of the wet staves for approx 4 weeks. Hence 14.8%ABV.

If anyone is interested, I finally got around to sending some samples away to be tested at Vintessential and the results are in! Dubbel went in to a barrel @ 8% ABV and came out @ 14.8% ABV RIS went in to a barrel @ 10% ABV and came out @ 15.7% ABV Cheers Roosterboy for the heads up on getting...
