What did you buy while pissed last night?

Easy fixed though...new scratchplate and some good pickups. My strat has the Suhr silent backplate system and suhr low output pickups and it is a thing of beauty. Highly recommended. Back on topic.....I bought a new tap and a thermometer last night. Oops.

    2x Perlick Flow Control Taps

30 bucks for a stainless perlick? I know a lhbs near you has had an abs plastic forward sealing tap hanging around for a while. That might be what you are thinking of. The OP is offering a good deal. Id be tempted but I just bought another keg and the wife is suspicious when parcels arrive...

    AG Hoegaarden Clone

Ok. Last time i tried a low temp rest with a weizen I made some crap that caked the element in my urn. It was .5cm thick and black and the burnt taste ruined the beer. I now only mash in at higher temps. Any solition?

    BIAB Sweetness

Ive got two thermometers, if one reads 66, the other reads 69. I split the diff and aim for the middle. This way at least I get repeatable results. So check your temp. If im trying for a dry lager or ale i will mash anywhere from 62 - 64. Agree with the others re yeast and grainbill too. Try...

    WTB: Stout Tap

Anyone got one they want to dispose of? Standard size shank fitting would be easier, but Im not totally against the idea of drilling another hole in the fridge. (More taps is better right?)

How to Save a Bad Batch of Homebrew- Part 2

Blending and watering down are tricks ive used with success. Sometimes a touch of water opens up the flavours....paeticularly in big hoppy beers which have tasted a bit muddled.

    Home made no rinse sanatizer.

Interesting idea..... but Starsan is pretty cheap compared to pbw. Surely for under 20bucks a year its not worth the risk?

Fast fermenting and flocculating yeast for hoppy ale.

Thanks guys. This wont be the exact same beer anyway.....I dont have the same hops on hand. The first stuff up is still a delicious brew thats the main thing, basically I subbed a malt for a different brand and the colour wasnt amber enough. Im not focussed on the winning the comp...this is...
