    Stolen stuff

Go to all the cash converters type joints in the area and report it to the police. I know a few people who have got things back (surfboard and a guitar), but they were extremely proactive and did the above. Touch wood i havent had anything stolen except for a car stereo (which i replaced with a...

    Super Aroma - Hop Shots

What a time to only have a hefe, stout, esb and cider going. I can't use this glorious sounding goop in any of them! Hey yob, what's the shelf life on this. .....both new and once opened?

    Ebay, Gumtree and FB Marketplace

Those fisher paykel all fridges from the last 2 posts are great. My keg fridge is 366 litres and I can get 3 cornies, a gas bottle...and either 2 party kegs or an assortment of sixpacks. Its like the tardis.

    Dry hopping carbed keg

Ive done this heaps! Im doing the same tonight. Not enough aroma or 'pizazz' in my pale ale. Ive always done between 1-3g litre keg hopped. Ive used Amarillo, summer, southern cross, aus cascade, all work well but my faves were nelson and galaxy. Chuck em in and dont bother taking them...

Style Of The Week 13/9/06 - Weizen

I use wb06 dried yeast. Tried one of the whitelabs and didn't care for it. Too sweet and bananary. Last one with the wb went down to 1006 and I just chucked it in the cube for ferment - no oxygen, no transfer to fementer, not even any rehydration. I take alot more care with my other...

    American Ale Malt (Gladfield)

I've used this malt on its own in a 5% hoppy ale using southern cross and galaxy hops. Just kegged it is totally delicious. Good body, nice colour and a goodly amount of frothy bubbles that hang around. Also done 90% american ale and 10% of the gladfield smoked manuka malt in a faux smoky lager...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Good beer. The label design, and being purple instantly had me thinking of a sour grape lolly like a zappo. But it actually tastes like a fizzy sav blanc warhead. I hate sav blanc......but i do not hate this beverage. Zingy, acidic, crisp. medium body. Smells a bit winey and has the usual...

    Keg King Intertap

All good for me. Ill do a proper rundown when i get a chance to take photos etc. The growler filler spout is cool. Ive used that heaps (actually just leave it on and pour glasses from thus spout), and the restricter/sparkler is cool for lowly carbonated ales (even though i don't have nitro...

    Keg King Intertap

Thanks for the half price deal Kee. First impressions are great. Ive taken it apart to get rid of the usual smelly manufacturing oil residue and it looks well made. All the threads screw in and out nicely. I bought the stout tap and growler filler and they look slick too. There is a 4 hole...
