    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

I procured a case of these. Quite nice. Very heavy amounts of light tropical hops...not much resin or dankness. Its very dry, not a chewy malty IIPA. I am only putting one bottle in the fridge at a time because it is dangerously chuggable for a 9% beer, and I wish to be a functional human...

    Transferring from the Cube

I know what you mean about the 20litre cubes....they spill a bit. I cant get the correct angle to avoid the dribble or the splash. Regarding trub I used a stocking once to sieve out the crud. It blocked up and was full of wort .....it looked like a swollen cow udder. I squeezed it to get more...

    Whitelabs Vault

I listened to the white brothers on a BN podcast and unless things have changed the Vault yeasts are US shipping only. Although i reckon if you had a big group of orders they might chuck it in with a stores order. Particularly if it is Aussies wanting the tooths yeast. It might need a few...

    Fermentation crisis :)

You are lucky. I had the same thing happen in WINTER. Probe fell out and my schwartzbier sat at 30 for first few days. Tasted ok. Called it a dry stout. I know now what higher alchohols taste like and do to your body.... Worst headache after 1 glass. I would follow the above advice. Heat...

Chilling a 'NO CHILL' cube - WOW

Messy if the cube fails though. Imagine explaining the the wife and kids why the pool has gone brown and you cannot swim.

    first all grain recipe suggestions

Hagar aint no roth.....but at least you did not mention Cherone.... perhaps i will embrace your practice. I used to really dig some glam metal in early high school. Back to my roots eh. I wonder if spotify has any Dokken? Anyhoo. Brew prep at 10pm. Respect.

    first all grain recipe suggestions

At the risk of a thread derail - Im not averse to Steel Panther and their fantastic good **** rock schtick...I just prefer to brew to mid 90s indy rock. Your post IS very important though. You must choose your brewing music wisely. It sharpens the mind and helps you through the bits where...

    first all grain recipe suggestions

If you want to understand your ingredients keep it simple. Do a SMaSH, then do the same brew again with a single change in ingredient or process. Or instead of an ingredient change.......Maybe do the same brew twice with widely different mash temps, or different yeasts. And I disagree with...

    WTB: 19L Cornies - Sydney

Good luck! Barleyman had some second handies last time i was there. There is a brew shop at kogarah who mainly supplies k&k gear but i went through last week and poked my head in and looks like he has 2nd hand kegs in stock too. I bought a new keg king one for 120 recently and they are...
