    Keg dispensing issue

Had a similar thing with my perlick 545FC. The INtertap SS is awesome and doesn't gunge up, and is easy to clean.

    Keg dispensing issue

Thanks gents. I'll put some voile over the pickup and see if that solves. If not, cask widge and some googling.

    Keg dispensing issue

Both are new Kk style kegs and the oring is obliterated in one, replaced with older poppet spare. Other keg will need draining into a new keg to rid it of trub. Moral of story, don't rush kegging without trub being settled and clean and inspect poppet regularly.

    Keg dispensing issue

Problem partially solved. Crap in one poppet spring. The beer is so trubby (my fault, rushed keg before holiday) that I clean the spring, hook it up, get half a pint, and it happens again. Other beer appears as though the poppet was stuck with stickiness, and upon cleaning and changing over...

    Keg dispensing issue

Both kegs, one possible to be trub, other very hoppy and could be that. I do have another diptube to pull out and test. I know it works because I just used it to water through all taps.

    Keg dispensing issue

No go with depressurisation and hook kegs up to gas.

    Keg dispensing issue

Dribble of foam, low positive pressure visible in the beer lines that then stops after a period of time when I turn the tap on. Based on water getting through same taps, I'm assuming a blockage in the beer tube.

    Keg dispensing issue

Not frozen, the Kk isn't capable of it in QLD. Regulator is about 2 months old and kegs are holding pressure. I'll PRV out the gas and do the gas to beer post thing again.

    Keg dispensing issue

I put the gas disconnect to the beer post (with a touch of effort), heard the gas feeding into the beer, but when the posts were returned to their usual places, it behaved the same as before. If I leave it for a while, enough pressure to dispense beer for 100ml at normal and then it's back to...

    Keg dispensing issue

So whacked co2 Qd onto beer posts. No go, still the same issue.

    Keg dispensing issue

Didn't think of that, thanks. I'll give it a crack.

    Keg dispensing issue

Done that a few times, blockage not cleared but nice to know it can happen from trub. Might have to get a dip tube brush and pull them apart.

    Keg dispensing issue

Okay, so my kegs aren't dispensing correctly. I've a Kk3, so it's pretty stock. In order to address this issue, I've done the following: Upped pressure from micromatic reg Tested PRV to see if kegs are pressurised (they are) Pulled apart all taps and cleaned. Tested issues with plastic tap...

    WLP566 Belgian Saison II Yeast

How's it compare with WY3724, love it but too far to go or too expensive to ship.

Mild FG Question. Am I too high?

What Rdevjun said. More spec malts and higher mash. I prefer a bit of RB or Black malt (plus some brown or amber malt) to balance out the extra crystal, as I prefer a mild with a slight dryness at the back of the palate but still want the extra body without excessive sweetness. Done one on...

    Go to Asian beer?

The Mikkeller sour was awesome, woody, blankety and dank. Mrs had Rogue yellow snow ipa, hempy and piney. She loved it. Tennants Scottish beer aged on whiskey oak barrels was a real treat. All the woody whiskey nuances on a very good Scottish Ale.
