    Mlt In A Bag?

Did bag on stones for 10+ brews. It works but: - massive channeling down the sides. And this still causes minor issues with batch sparge (i.e. Can't recirc effectively) - the stones take a lot of heating, or of you don't pre heat suck a lot out of the mash - a lot of break in the kettle I...

Alpha Amylase And Beta Amylase - Temp Ranges?

I've actually thought similar to Nick and do the opposite of a standard infusion. Start high, then add more grain to drop the temp. I.e step 70, 62, 72. the idea being the first step creates a bunch of dextrins, the second turns them into maltose using the enzymes in the infused grain, and the...

    Step Mash Vs Single Infusion

I always mash in at 55 for 10. I feel it is easier to get rid of dough balls with a thicker mash, and I believe the final product has a tighter head. I freely accept that these perceptions may be all in my head.

    F&p Chest Freezer 275l

Thanks to warmbeer for point out that i posted this in the wrong thread... EDIT: Wall depth is 70mm. And yes, I'm aware the numbers up above don't add up, due to aformentioned accuracy issues. The 70mm is accurate though, the rest are give or take!

    F&p Chest Freezer 275l

The wall depth is 75mm. I measured everything up, but the post got lost. What exact measurements are you after? Internal? The hump? The hump was 170x170. The rest you can figure from the manufacturer specs and the wall depth.

    Video Games

94 hours into Skyrim and one of the best games I've played in a LONG time. Only issue is, I'm now level 54, and dual weilding I can one shot everything except an ancient dragon - they take two hits. And that's with difficulty maxed. Still, that's OK - when I want a challenge, I try a two handed...

    Throw Out Your Cubes

External: 860Wx890Hx550D Internal: 730Wx730Hx410D Hump: 180Wx170H 4 corneys on the floor. Bottle and 1 keg on the hump, with sleeve. These measurements are not exact. give a +/- 10mm to most of them. My tape measure sucks, and I've never been one for accurate measurements at the best of times...

    Belgian Saison

Kids found my fermenter. I'd glad wrapped it and rested a lid on top for extra security. Lid was gone and glad wrap had finger holes all through it. Not happy. Fingers are crossed, but I'm not holding my breath. Last gravity reading was a week ago and it was down to 1.011. So close...
