    KegLand Questions and Answers

I was looking at the 3/8" size for the glycol coil. They'd be great for preventing spills when disconnecting the coil.

Reverse microwave chills beer in 45 seconds

I think the equivalent of a reverse microwave would be a cooling laser. When she's chilling the wine bottle, it looks like their innovate new product is just an ice bath.

My prep methods were fairly half arsed, but I calculated an IBU of 37 which is pretty close to the IBU of...

10 minute IPAs are good for school night brewing

I guess this ones gets chalked up as a learning experience....... Probably destined for the drain - but will wait and see how it ferments out. Feeling just a tad stupid right now. :( What was the grain bill? I think with an attitude like that you may be pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

    Hop Utilisation in the Whirlpool

That makes more sense. Although ideally you should take the measurement in the same cuvette, unless you're using matched cuvettes. Have you had a go at a commercial beer that you know the IBUs of? Edit: still learning tapatalk so can't quote, but no it's not a commonly stocked solvent.

    Hop Utilisation in the Whirlpool

So spec/HPLC grade solvent is about $100 a litre, which is $2 per sample. Why do you need to cold store your blank and redo it each time? Just record a baseline and be done with it.
