    Designing Great Beer

I have managed to find DGB and Radical Brewing in Bookstores, here in Brisbane. Looks like the suppliers/proprietors are catching on that this little hobby is growing.

So What Else Do You Like To Drink?

Zubrowka Vodka ROCKS :super: I also like Belvedere Polish vodka too. I've had a 1L of each for over a year, since I rarely drink the stuff.

How Do You Finish A Session?

rather dangerously, usually a bourbon. or 6. (Labrot & Graham is what I picked up duty free :) I never drink liquor otherwise.

How Do You Drink Your Beer?

I'll second just about everything you said. The straight side "american" style pint glasses are quite versatile. My erdinger glass is one of my favorites, but I'll usually reach for the aventinus over it for wheats. I have tried to build up a collection of glasses that can handle any...

    Stupid Americans

Some of us come to Australia to spy <_< , ahem, I mean, do postgraduate study, so we have to know where Australia is.

    Grain In Brisbane

I'll second the chapel hill recommendation. I agree that they may be a little high on prices (maybe an extra $5 all up for a batch) but Tony is pretty helpful. I also thinnk its the imported grains that are high, when I use the australian malts, they're very cheap.

Which Beer Forums Do You Use?

Mostly a regular at the brewboard. My visits to AHB depend on how many (or few) experiments I'm doing in a week.

    The Best Brewing Books?

I strongly second the Designing great beers recommendation. Light on technique, but loads of reference info plus guidelines to formulating recipes.

Best Commercial Beer I Have Enjoyed

Unibroue beers are near the top of my list, Maudite is probably my fave if the flying fiery canoe didn't give it away. Other nominees: Arrogant ******* Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine Schneider Aventinus Sam Adams and Dark Isle Milk Stout from Tasmania I found to be absolutely wonderous too.

    Worst Comerical Beer You Had

Honestly, you haven't had bad beer until you've tried American malt liquor. Any of the following are insipid creations designed to get you drunk Olde English, Steel Reserve, Mickey's, Hurricane, King Cobra, Schlitz, the list goes on. Just horrid rancid corn tastes and they come in 40oz...

How Do I Make A Crook Brew

Pruno. It's prison alcohol made from smashed up oranges and ketchup and fermented using whatever yeast want to eat up the sugar. Don't have the link on how to make it handy, but should be able to google it.

    Most Expensive Beer

Thats a nice little pickup there kook. If they have any Rogue Imperial Stout or Victory Storm King, those are worth grabbing too. The issue I have with English beers in Australia is that it seems that they are all in clear glass bottles. No way I'm gambling $8-10 on a 500 mL bottle that may...

How Do I Make A Crook Brew

Sounds like someone needs to make up a batch of pruno

    Most Expensive Beer

Sam Adams' Utopias reportedly ran for US$100/bottle, but it was a massive 25% alcohol and came in a special copper container that looked like a big commercial fermenter.
