Yeah the airlock it was bubbling and now it's not could it be the air temp inside the FV expanded and pushed air out and now it's cooling it's not???

I probably should of just used the yeast pack that came with the kit I guess...I wanted to use a better yeast strain and the HBS guy suggested US05 to pitch it with so I took his word for it.

Great thanks for the info I stepped up the temp from 16.2c to 17c this morning over an hr...it was bubbling away nicely @ 16.2c but when I checked them at 17c both FV are not bubbling at all now!! I see yeast does not like temp fluctuations much 0.8 degree just stops them in there work?? I'm...

Ok cool so it will still be an ok lager fermented at 15c it's my first lager and I've got no idea lol

Si the poppet is the Center pin section of the post right? I pushed it a couple times with my finger nail to stop flow but no good...

Hi guys I bought 2 new corny kegs from eBay and this is the issue in having from both beer posts I have also replaced both o rings with thicker ones as the disconnects where leaking too. But not sure if it's the brand new eBay disconnects that were the issue or what but the new orings fixed that...

I know this is a really old thread & found this on my many searches about this subject. I finally got my PH tester today and after calibration my tap water is coming In at 7 ish for the Graham's town catchment. I have also found water zones in our area that might be of use to someone else around...

Good point mtb never thought they wouldn't seal,there made for laboratory use too! Leaking vessels in a lab sounds dangerous...Great cheap alternatives there too guys, I might opt for something along these lines! Thanks
