    Hop Dealz Australia

I just brewed up an IPA yesterday using Equinox and Cascade that I got from Yob. Not a massive hop bomb but high in my books. I'll dry hop with cascade flowers. 15.0 g Chinook Pellet (11.4% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil) (0.7 g/L) 20.0 g Chinook Pellet (11.4% Alpha) @ 45 Minutes (Boil) (0.9 g/L)...

Left grain bag in, brought to boil.

I did this recently with an Amber Ale BIAB. Put the gas back on and headed out to grab a few things from the LHBS, leaving a mate in charge. He called me 15 minutes later saying the temp is at 85. He swtiched off the gas and stirred in some cool water. We pulled the bag and had burnt a hole in...

European Holiday Synopsis (Italia and Espana)

My wife and I used AirBnB to travel across France and Spain a couple of years ago. Couldn't recommend it enough. It's a great way to find english speaking owners if you don't speak their language and great to enjoy a hearty breakfast with them and their families. I enjoyed this as much as seeing...

    Pig on a Spit?

My tip is fill it with apples. It adds so much to the flavour of pork and it also keeps it nice and moist.

    Grain ordering mishap. Solutions?

If you drop in 35kgs of Ale malt then you could mix it all up and divide into 10 separate batches and then maybe offer them up for sale on here? If you were in Adelaide I would have gladly taken two lots off your hands. Would you be keen to organise postage?

    Weldless tap measurement CUB keggle

The most common measurement I've seen is 3.75" from the bottom of the keg. I used a step drill to drill mine out so you can get it perfect. They're cheap as on eBay and last forever. I drilled every hole in my shed, when building it, with one of these and it's still going...

2015 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

My freezer is now full. The Mrs isn't too impressed so I think i'll need to turn on the freezer in the shed and moves these guys out there. But she's certainly happy that there's nothing more to pick as I've spent a lot of time out there in the garden recently. I also tallied up my harvest...

2015 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

Thats about what I aimed for mofox1, around 30%. The cones were very papery and dry at that stage.
