The Fight For A Full Pint

Years ago i worked in a pub in London. All the glasses had a mark indicating the pint level about 1cm below the rim of the glass. Even if you filled it to the pint mark and had a small head above it to the rim, you got abused by the punters for not filling up the glass. Most of the people I...

    Here Kitty!

All this talk of cats reminds me of the guy from coonamble who walked into the local chinese with a dead cat he found on the road after a big session at the pub. He walked in when the place was packed and slapped it on the counter and yelled out "This is the last cat you are getting until you...

    Hot Water Urn

I used Scalex which you can get from Bunnings. You put it in the urn with 10L water and boil it for 10 mins and it comes up spotless. I was going to use CLR but on the pack it said not to use it on heating elements.

Plastic Steins At Oktoberfest ? !

This brings back memories of me working in a pub in London in the early 90's. The pub was in the centre of the banking district. The glasses had the pint mark which was abot 2cm below the top of the glass. But if you poured the beer to this mark and had the 2cm head then you were abused by the...

    Cockroach Problem

The best thing to get rid of the cockies is a gel that the pest controllers use. you put a tiny dot in various spots in the room and they will be gone in a few days. Commercial kitchens use it and it kicks arse.

    Pumps

I found this pump on the net. Do you think it would be ok? The only problem I think would be the heat rating. This one doesn't need to be placed under water and it says it is ok for inline pumping. http://www.rockaroundtheblock.com.au/produ...?pID=283&cID=10 edit here's another link to the...
