It turns out the pressure lid has a leak in the weld on one of the posts so I don't have the same urgency. Should clarify it was one of the old keg king ones by the way. Will have to wait till kegland has their new ones back in stock!
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how long they have cut their floating dip tubes when using them with the 29l kegmenters kegland have been selling? Or, is it possible that you don't need to cut it short and that the float will still provide enough space to keep yeast/trub out of the tube?
I only...
I've also only ever rapidly cold crashed, but have also recently come across Palmer's advice and have been wondering if it is better practice. I've also started to suspect that, despite every effort to stop it, cold crashing in a standard fermenter does introduce o2. I've recently obtained a...
Looking for advice from people who regularly make these beers and keg them. I'm not sure what the best way is to ensure I get and keep the ideal carbonation levels. I'm thinking I will need to naturally carbonate the keg and then use the valve on the manifold to turn the gas on and off as needed...
Do you guys have any plans to stock or source a kegmenter or even just a corny that sits in the 25-30l range? I've said this before, but the robobrew has surely created a decent market as its batch size really lends itself to a smaller model. The only other supplier in Australia who was...
Hi there Kegland,
I just watched Kee's video running through the Gen3 Robo. The extra bottom screen for the malt pipe looks like a great idea as I've noticed a fair bit of grain finding its way into the wort. Will these fit the gen2 models and do you think they will be sold as spares? If so, I...
Hey guys, i finally picked up some vials to give this a go (it's been on the list for ages) . Quick question... Has anyone with a frost free freezer had any luck storing and then refiring these with out doing the whole insulated container thing?
+1 for this. Or even just 26l kegs. It makes sense to offer a single batch option to the folks who are going to buy robobrews from you and will only be able to brew 23 litre batches. The ibrew ones look great but are a bit too exy for me atm.
Good stuff. I have a mate who has recently started up with a crown urn biab setup and he has had great success. He's also found the biab spreadsheet really useful and has hit his numbers more consistently than I have with my robobrew.
Not necessary IMO if the lid has a pressure relief valve. You should be able to get a hose clamp on there easily enough and tie the bag to that. I've even had luck using a plastic cable tie.
