How many litres did you make the brew up to? If it was 23L, your OG should have been around 1.042 with only 900g of fermentables.

Getting off topic here but I don't understand why it would be a 4% increase across the board and not just for afterpay? As in when you get to checkout and choose afterpay it notifies you that there will be a 4% surcharge, just like the surcharge some retailers put on credit cards.

Credit cards also reduce serviceability whereas afterpay doesn't. If Kegland had afterpay my first purchase would be the robobrew. Once that was paid off I would get a kegerator. Instead I'll probably have to wait and keep dropping hints to the missus around birthday time and hope for the best...
