    Programable Digital Temp Gauge

If you want to go the extent of a PIC you may as well go to PC control. The Best PIC will do but you need to worry about calibrating it you need to worry about a display an adjuster and programming. I have played with picks and they are good but for $60 you can purchase a kit with all parts to...

    Programable Digital Temp Gauge

You would be quite surprised ben. Instrumentation has come along way very fast the last few years. The ready made unit retails for around $300 and is calibrated to whatever temp input you like. The OMRON can use either RTD or Thermocouple. Although looking at 4-20ma doesnt look very fine the...

    Pid

I have noticed alot of people asking about PID temp control. I thaught I would write a little to let you all know what it is. PID (Pulsed Incrument Diferential) control is for controling an analog output. Only used if you have a proportional heat source. Is is set by a time stamp for example...

    Manifolds

Getting low efficiency does not mean it is your manifold. Jayce and i GET ON AVERAGE 80% HOWEVEY WE DO TAKE ABOUT AN HOUR TO SPARGE. Have a close look at your process. Stick a thermometer in more often. And not just on top. The temp on top will always be higher of that of the bottom. (heat...

    Aaargh Broken Fridge

I wouldn't even try Big D I like to see people using their enginuity to come up with great ideas that will aid many brewers. However this does not quilify as a great idea. I am sorry. Mainly the refrigeration system is designed for a certain size. For example a small fridge has a small...

    Cleaning Stainless Kegs

I agree polishing will only change the look. nothing else. But shiny is good. The best thing to use would be pickling. Its an acidic compuond paste used to clean a stainless weld. This acid eats away at everything but stainless and will remove all contaminants. you just brush it on and wait...

    Circulating Heat Exchanged Mash

Our system is mostly gravity fed just not as mobile. I dont want to move it in a hurry anyway. Still need a pump if you want a HERMS setup. It seems everything is done in the US Way to deer to get any of it here. Thats why we are looking into importing kegs for we can't seem to get good ones...

    Bubbles In Beer Line

How cold is the fridge. I have air bubbles in the beer line from the keg to my magic box. This is because the beer going into the magic boy is warm and does not hold carbonation. I had to up the pressure to keep it carbonated. Upping the pressure was not a problemb for as nearly says the...

    Circulating Heat Exchanged Mash

Also I would prefer the staggered setup, swaping pumpt or valves to go between HLT to mash then recirc then sparge. Pumps are expensive. we are lucky we have three but all come at a price

    Circulating Heat Exchanged Mash

Id love to build something like that for myself first. Am trying to get my hands on my own plazma cutter and tig welder at the mo instead of using works. Like jayse says anything is possible but the materials are expensive and hard to get. I am urrently pricing s/s pots brand new.
