Some good advice Kev – just a few quick ones (as I've never had a controlled environment myself) – if the fridge is designed to run at 0-5º for its size and you're fermenting at ~11-23º, does that still affect the footprint? Reason I ask is I have a (free) bar fridge that's around 900mm high...

Hi all, Surely this has been discussed before, but I'd love to see how everyone has built their fermentation fridge in one place. This video looks interesting – and looks like it would save a load of money.

Agree there are a lot of other resources out there, but this one was so easy to follow. Hope someone else can do a similar post, and while I have no idea what happened with nick / ahb, the brew community has suffered. BIAB is a gateway to proper beer, at least beer that tastes like beer.

Paint them with 'chalkboard' paint, just cover up the chrome bits with tape before you do. Then put batch recipes on there. Or hire a signwriter to do something fancy and ornate with them.

Sweet, thanks, feeling the need for a fermentation fridge. Don't mind the old Anchor Steam. Fermenter was stuck @5 days for almost a week on 1025... even tho temps never got down to proper lager-yeast temps... strangely dropped to 1024 overnight at the higher temp... What temp do you pitch at...

Hey Canuck, You need to tell them it's $78 for ~2.5 cases of beer – cheapest I've seen Coopers is $48 a case. And once the initial's been done, it's $38 a case afterwards including a new fermenter, or if you can wait 8 weeks til your next batch, $16. Alternatively, buy a fresh wort kit for...
