A Guide To All-grain Brewing In A Bag

Wow! I link this thread on other forums when someone asks of the history of BIAB. Just went to link it again and see it has been unpinned. I'm happy to update the original post (always have been and wish I could), so any reason it was unpinned?

    Poor Mash Efficiency

Hi Mister Clark, That was me who replied to the thread. It's been a long time since I have had time to write on AHB but I saw this thread and as I had just answered a very similiar question to yours on another forum, thought I'd jump in. In my post, I asked you to read the thread on the other...

    Birthday Drinks

Haven't done a post in the old birthday thread for years! All the best to you Stu :super: . Also see a few other old names above - great stuff! Hope you have all been behaving just as well as we did five/ten years ago and doing lots of belly dancing. (I am never doing that again !)...

A Guide To All-grain Brewing In A Bag

Hey there fella ;). Wow, it's been such a long time since we had a beer! Great to see you are still into it and haven't forgotten the humble beginnings  . I'm having a bit of a writing break atm after having written over four million words between this site and BIABrewer.info, not to...

    Sydney Thu 11/12 - Mini-Crawl starting 6pm Lord Nelson

Apologies for the slow response Bunny Bunyip. I only got back to Perth late the day before yesterday and have done two really long days since. Was great to meet a few new Sydney Brewers above but we didn't talk about beer much for some strange reason. First time that has happened??? I think I...

    Sydney Thu 11/12 - Mini-Crawl starting 6pm Lord Nelson

A few of us are catching up for a beer tomorrow night starting at the Lord Nelson (19 Kent Street, The Rocks). As to whether we actually do a mini-crawl, who knows? We might end up being too lazy . Let me know here if you want to join us and I'll send you my mobile number. We'll make...

PERTH ROYAL BEER SHOW 2013 - Now 2014

Good on you dent :super: . Hope you are going along for the tasting regardless. Regardless of the comp, that is always great fun!

PERTH ROYAL BEER SHOW 2013 - Now 2014

Probably the only reason to enter this year (2014). Just going to copy and paste a bit of what I just wrote on BIABrewer... :D Such a shame this comp is becoming less and less for amateurs every year. Nev, what does Dan reckon?

    BIAB legacy podcast

I'm short on time for the next few days but am making good progress on getting the BIABacus help written so you should have access to a proper release within a couple of weeks. I'll run through some of the questions asked above but accept my apologies if it takes a few days to reply to further...

    BIAB legacy podcast

Ruckus, I'll come to you in a minute but I really want to knock this full-volume / who invented BIAB thing on the head. It's not important but I don't like credit being taken away from the many people on this site who made it mainstream. We spent many posts and many hours doing this. If...

    BIAB legacy podcast

Deary me! Lol! If it's okay with you guys, I'd prefer this thread be focussed on the podcast which was about explaining things full-volume brewing has enabled us to learn. The single vessel, full-volume brewing method enables a real clarity of things that I think we are losing here in this...

    BIAB legacy podcast

Many thanks for the great feedback above. Really appreciate you taking the time to post how you found the podcast and/or BIAB generally. Hope you found Bob funny. He's a crack-up. Every time he writes something, I'm laughing for the rest of the day :D. manticle, thanks for taking the time to...

    BIAB legacy podcast

Ha! Did I write that above? That was after spending 6 hours on one dynamic picture to make the BIABacus really fast to learn. One error meant starting the diagram from scratch which occurred three times. There have been quite a few days like that :D. Everything takes a lot longer than expected...

    BIAB legacy podcast

Thanks Nev for posting the thread :icon_cheers:, I only had 24 hours notice on the podcast but I think I managed to mention AndrewQLD, stux, crusty and JamesSquire. Apologies I couldn't mention more people but it's hard to think on the go and I suppose you can't mention everyone in an hour...
