I could be wrong, but it tastes a lot like the Dupont strain (Wyeast 3724). If it is, be warned that it ferments like lightning for the first week, only to slow to a crawl and takes another couple of weeks to finish out. FWIW, I ferment mine very hot, 26 - 28C - perfect for summer brewing.

My experience is that you can squeeze an extra litre of two into them, but you will be submerging the "gas in" dip-tube, running the risk of getting beer in your gas line.

+1 - they're pretty cheap at Bunnings. If you do take one apart, make sure it doesn't leak under pressure when you put it back together. You may end up with a mess if it has a slow drip....

All of it in the garden - in a spot that the dog can't get to. I've read that the spent hops in trub aren't healthy for dogs and I know that spent grain gives my dog constipation. :)
