    Show Us Your Beer Engines

Having pulled apart and restored something similar, I would not recommend buying them individually. You would need to mount them in a very similar fashion to how they are in the cabinet. Im not saying that it cant be done just that it would take a lot of work to get it all lined up and working...

    Attention Newcastle & Hunter Brewers

This is probably a little late, but there are plenty of spare kegs around that some one would lend you for the B&T event. Off'y

    Show Us Your Beer Engines

I bet it's a relief to be no longer sitting on that. Looks good, I'll have to get both of mine up and running properly. As far as set up advice goes I'm in the same boat as you. Off'y

Nice looking bit of gear there Yardy The contact area between the 2 liquids will be the same no matter which way you go, ie the surface area of the inner tube. however the volumes will be vastly different. which one will be easier to clean? another option would be to use the outer tube for...

Hub - Xmas In July 2010 Tasting Notes

23 Gus Sparkling Ale Pours a pale straw colour with good clarity and a large white head that dissipates after a short while. Very little aroma, there is a faint hint of something I cant quite put my finger on, like a vegemite sandwich maybe. The flavor is also fairly muted, very little malt...

Hi guys I was lead to believe that there was a calendar of events handed out at the last meeting. Can we get one emailed out to members, the sooner I can get things on to our home calendar the more likley I can attend. Plus it takes me a while to brew for comps too. Off'y

Hub - Xmas In July 2010 Tasting Notes

13 Muggus Raunchy Scottsman Smoked Brown Ale I have misplaced my tasting notes on this beer. So this is just from memory of over a week ago. First of all I poured this beer very slow and carefully, after the comments of others, and still ended up with a sizeable head. What I remember most...

    Hub Meeting Details

When I suggested trying this beer at the meeting I hadnt really thought it through. This beer will be at room temp at the meeting and I would not recommend opening one at room temp. Do you know those school kids science experiments where they drop a few mentos in to a bottle of fizzy drink...

Regarding my case swap beer No.22 Due to not having the full 28 bottle left, after attempting to relieve the pressure in some of these bottles before the swap, I have brewed a new batch this time of English bitter for the swap. I have updated this info in the swap list. I'm also sending...
