    Burnt batch with electric element

It was BIAB. Just a SMaSH. 98% Marris Otter with a few hundred grams of wheat. Ross’s Nelson Sauvin Summer Ale.

    Burnt batch with electric element

Thanks for the info all. I checked the resistance and it was 24.6 ohms. So 2350 watts. I think I’ll look into a ULWD element. Stick with gas till I get that sorted. Don’t like having to tip out a full brew.

Did my first run recently using the keg-king 2200 watt element and ended up with the batch tasting burnt and burnt wort all over the element. Never had this problem with a copper element of the same...

    Advice regarding expanding brewing setup

Long time lurker, now a poster. I've been brewing AG for a while now using a Big W pot (BIAB) and I'm looking to expand my system. Learnt how to do this lurking on these forums and a big thank you to those who developed the method here. Ultimately I'm leaning towards a 1V recirc system such as...

    Like A Version.

I love a lot of the covers on the Easy Fever - Easy Beats cover album, but particularly like Grinspoon's version of St Louis. http://www.myspace.com/video/easyfever/gri...-cover/43053718

    $90 For A Crownie.

Well it would get nearly 2 cartons of Little Creatures Big Dipper single batch this year. And I personally really enjoyed that beer.

I imagine that this should be fine. No one has paid yet so order hasn't been submitted and changes should still be ok. Subject to RdeVjun's approval of course :)

    How Do You Hop?

This raises a question I had regarding the whirlpool. Does the hop material thrown straight in the boil help with settling the hot break when whirlpooling? Reason I ask is I have been using a hop bag for hopping and then I tried using a whirlpool to collect the hot break but it is too light...
