FS: 380l Fridge - Northcote VIC

Getting rid of our old kitchen fridge. It's in perfect working order, we just don't need it after upgrading to a bigger one. $50 should do it, but needs to be gone by the weekend. Happy to include the few hundred grams or so of Hallertau, Northern Brewer and Styrians that are in the freezer...

+1 for Little Beer Quarter. I recommend Goldings Free Dive as well.

How to recirculate wort with out messing up the grain bed?

For those of you that run the return through silicone hose, have you added holes to the hose or do you just send it all out the end?

    Chilli seed swap

Me too. I bought some poblano seeds this summer (not from ebay) and didn't get any to germinate. Perhaps they're a difficult species to grow but I'd be surprised. I've also got some red rocoto seeds I'm happy to swap if anyone's interested.

Sounds good to me. I want to set some aside for further aging for some future Belgian sours anyway ;) I've got a heap of surplus vac rolls lying around if you need them Martin.

MELB: plate chiller, bottles, crates, hops

Anyone wish to propose a recipe incorporating PoR, Goldings, Spalt and Willamette? Plus I've got some Mt Hood in the garden that's about ready for harvest... Looks like a few busy weekends coming up :)

    Erlenmeyer flasks

That's where I got my stir bar from. But I've already lost the bloody thing and now need to buy another one!

    Aldi Meat Grinder

Picked one up this morning and used it just now to mince 1.5kg of chuck+short rib for some burgers. Seems fine so far, but fairly noisy. Much easier than the hand cranked ones though!

    Aldi Meat Grinder

I normally use chuck. I find the flavour of freshly minced meat much better for things like burgers, plus it allows me to serve a bit on the rarer side without worrying as much about food poisoning nasties.

Some interesting experiments on using hops in cooking from these guys. http://nordicfoodlab.org/blog/2013/12/hop-into-it

    Erlenmeyer flasks

And after all of that, mine arrived just a few minutes ago. :super: Still haven't seen any charges come up on my card but they might take or day or two to come through.
