    Low Oxygen Hopping in Secondary

Agree it might be a bit of a dick around for what it's worth and will likely only do it if I'm looking to get another beer going before the last one finishes and it's not going to be served straight away. I was watching a video about using fermentation CO2 to flush kegs and it got me thinking.

    Low Oxygen Hopping in Secondary

I'm getting back into brewing after a hiatus of about 3 years. My current setup is a 30L Grainfather and a side by side fridge freezer (stand alone units), one side is a fermentation chamber (brewpi) with 30l stainless conical plus spunding valve and one side is for serving out of kegs. I...

    Hop Torpedo

So with your method the dry hopping would just occur for the transfer as it passes through the randall/hopback?

    Hop Torpedo

Hoping someone has tried this and can give me some pointers. I currently ferment in a pressurised stainless conical in a brewpi controlled fridge and then use co2 to transfer to keg so basically maintain a completely closed oxygen free system. I would like to add to it for dry hopping by using...

    pilsner hop advice

I often do the pils saaz combo, its the obvious choice. My next pilsner will be tettnang though. You have two well paired choices.

I compared my 2 PH meters, with interesting results

His comment was that this was the reason they are no longer stocking the AD12 although he said he was willing to order it in if I still wanted it.

I compared my 2 PH meters, with interesting results

When I was in the market for a PH meter recently, I was steered away from the AD12 (which I really wanted) towards the AD11 by the sales guy. The basic reasoning was that he could not in good faith tell me that the higher model was anymore accurate and that it was basically the same meter with...

Back to what originally lead me to AG, Hahn Super Dry like megaswill.

Yes Im using a spunding valve on my conical. This is my first time using the valve so it hasn't been to any exact pressure. Im considering splitting half this batch to a cube after 3 days and adding the enzymes to only half the batch in the conical.

Ive got some a dry enzyme satchel I am considering adding to the fermenter, debating whether or not it is neded to match this style?

Back to what originally lead me to AG, Hahn Super Dry like megaswill.

Ok so first crack went down today: Stella clone has had 6 days in primary @ 14c (7-8psi) with a small trub dump prior to pitching and another small one 3 days into ferment. Made the following recipe today ready to dump onto the Wyeast 2042 danish lager yeast cake: RO water plus 0.1g/L...

    Your Worst/Dumbest Brewday Stuff Up...

Had my biggest F up today. Doughed in and went to pickup some dextrose I wanted to add to the boil. Got home with 10 minutes to spare on my mash step only to realise i had flicked my grainfather control switch to boil and my mash had been creeping up slowly and was sitting at 88c instead of the...
