    KegLand Questions and Answers

Hi, Would you recommend this product or it's more-premium counterpart suitable for whirlpooling/aerating your wort: Basic Stainless Steel Drill Powered Mash Stirrer & Mixer - 1/4 Inch Hex Drive or would you say something more purpose-specific for aeration/whirlpooling would work better (i.e...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Great to know. Just to confirm, each outlet can handle 2400w, so a 2200w element is fine in the heating plug as opposed to 1200w each plug?

    KegLand Questions and Answers

That just tells me it can turn off and on a heating pad and a fridge -- I want to know if it's a suitable, good choice to control an element for mashing and boiling; i.e, if it's a similar controller to what's in the BrewZilla.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Is the RAPT temp controller (regular 10a version) able/suitable to act as a controller for a 2200 watt element for step mashing/boil in the way something like the Brewzilla or a PID controller does? I can’t find much info about it being used to control elements for mashes and boils but it is...

    Bottle Storage.

Not sure what you mean. Got a pic of a setup like that? I know dust washes off but I want to wash my bottles after use, cover the tops with some foil and then just sanitise them when ready to use. It's a convenience thing.

    Bottle Storage.

I find the issue with beer boxes is that they open from the sides, plus you can't just buy replacement ones. I am looking at some kind of suitably-sized packing boxes though. I figure if I can find a good size it'd work much the same as boxes for slabs but open from the top. Ideally I'd like to...

    Bottle Storage.

I know it's been discussed on here before, but I've scoured all the threads and not found a good solution for bottle storage. I know some people mention milk crates, but I've decided with my empties being stored in the shed, they just get too dusty, so I'm looking for something that can close...

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

Ah, yep, I follow you. That sort of setup does look good. Very handy diagram for people who wanna go that route. I did consider some sort of co2 injection as it starts to vacuum, but honestly what you describe sounds way more complicated than what I'm setting up (plus I don't keg beer so I have...

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

Yeah, that kind of basic balloon setup you mention is basically how this would work but without needing a second hole for it. What do you use to zap co2 into each bottles?

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

That doesn't sound easier to me at all, and your instructions are very confusing. I mostly just want to know if the parts I linked are the equivalent to the parts he uses in the video, plus some help tracking down some of the stuff he uses I can't find.

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

I just mean to say in the event it did need to suck up more than say 3 litres worth of co2 (which from everything i’ve heard would be very unlikely), it wouldn’t be able to just suck back up the sanitiser. I don’t want to create a vacuum on purpose, just that that’s preferable to suckback of...

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

I think the one-way valve would just create a vacuum in that case

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

Might be a bit big by the looks of it, but I wonder if that cap would fit a smaller bag, because that would save a lot of hassle having the tap already on the cap

    DIY Cold Crash Protector

I've been looking at rigging something up to protect from oxygen for cold crashing. I know some people just tie a little mylar balloon to a tube or something similar, but I'm looking to rig up something like the cold crash guardian. I came across this video which basically replicates one: The...

    Nano Boss

Has anyone used one of these? https://cheekypeakbrewery.com.au/nano-boss-touch-screen-pid-controller-voltage-control-pump-control-wifi-integration-coming-soon/ I’ve been looking into ebiab controllers and so far that’s the only option (as a standalone controller rather than all-in-one system)...
