So Ive just completed my 2nd brew on my 50lt unit. First brew went well, the only trouble i had was lifting the malt pipe out after mashing. Update: All kegs, Pluto gun, grain mill, and regs are spoken for. I do have a crown urn with concealed element and hop blocker left for $220. Urn is near new.

Well my crown urn craped it self today just before a 300g 10 min hop addition for a 10 min IPA. By the time I worked out what had happened the temp had dropped to 96c. I threw the hops in anyway and hoped for the best. So my question is, how much is hop utilization and isomerization affected...

I had the same thing happen today on my Crown urn. I was all doughed in when I noticed the sight glass had a small drip forming every few seconds, so I tried tightening it a little and SNAP! I had a wort fountain going on. I had to get the wife to block the hole while I tore the shed apart...
