    Reusing a yeast cake

    Hi Shacked Personally I'd use option B (although a lot of people will tell you not to!). Last IPA I did was done in the same way, 1080 wort pitched directly onto the yeast cake. Had no issues with it. Cheers Jefin

    Mouldy biab bag!

    I do the same as DU99 but if I get mold I soak the bag in bleach for 12 hrs or so then use the washing machine (with no detergent!!!) to do the rest of the work. Have had no problems using the washing machine thus far! Cheers Jefin

    Hi Mje Was thinking of raking it off onto some oak chip's soaked in pinot after Xmas and bottling mid next year (I did a 20L batch in the one carboy). Will decide once I have a taste. Might even chuck it in a keg, if I do that it wont last long though!! Planning to do a 40L batch the same day...
