    No Chill

I keep my cubes in the middle of my double shed under a few old doulbe sheets. I have had them sit there for at least 9 months prior to brewing them and have not noticed any off flavours or faults in the finished product. Also, I currently have 2 cubes I am purposely aging for 2 years. One is...

    Mash Temp

According to this, Wiki article on Mash ingredients, Malt is kilned at temps ranging from 55-200C (depending on type of malt). Notably, Pale Malt is kilned at 95-105C (well above our mash temps). So from this, I'd say that the enzymes won't denature during kilning because the malt is dry while...

Thanks HBB and DB, :icon_cheers: Since I BIAB, I would add them after I had pulled the grains getting ready for the boil. Which still leaves the question, how much do you use? HC

    1st Wort Hopping.

3 Questions, 1- When do I throw the hops in? I was thinking at the start of the mash or half way through 2- How much is a good guide to use? 30% is a figure thrown around but is it 30% on top of the hop bill or as part of the hop bill? example: 20.0 g East Kent Golding Pellet (4.7% Alpha)...

    Rogers Clone

I tried Rogers a while ago and it reminded me of a weaker, slightly more watery version of their LCPA. So maybe use Argon's LFPA and 'water it down' to be about 3.8% It may be a bit more in depth than just doing that but, that is where I'd start. Actually, I'll add this to my 'to brew' list. HC

    Ebay, Gumtree and FB Marketplace

Gas bottles have a 10 year expiry on them (other than fire extinguishers, if they are to be used for putting out fires, have 5 years) So it has about 2 years left on it. UNLESS, It expired in 2003 then what I just said has absolutely no relevance to this ebay sale. HC
