question related to the original topic: having received a copy of "Beer Captured" for xmas, am about to leave kit brewing behind and get into full extract/60min boils. "Beer Captured" recipes always use dry malt extract, not liquid malt. Questions: Is dry preferable to liquid, and if not...

Waste of time, really - unless you find really cheap tins and don't mind compromising on quality.
