Don't just render over it or replace with harder mortar - that may only make things worse as the bricks may start decaying instead. Work out if there is excess moisture and evaporation causing issues.
I noticed a bit on my house and...
Brewing Classic Styles lists extract recipes but also has an all-grain option. Or, you can just look at the percentages of specialty malts and work from there which is what I do. I think it's a good starting point for most styles - I never brew exactly the recipes in there but it's usually my...
I have recently been informed that we have an ice cream maker at home (has been sitting in the back of the copboard for years apparently). My plan is to make beer ice cream from a doppelbock or Belgian strong dark ale at some point.
Driving over to Melbourne from Adelaide tomorrow to catch up with family and friends. First trip with no cots/prams for a while - it's amazing what you can fit in the boot of a car when you don't need to take that stuff! Expecting the trip to take 12-13 hours with plenty of stops to keep the 2...
Try maybe a tiny bit of Carafa or roast barley or something like that. If you're getting the right flavour from the crystal that you're using already that might be the way to go.
How is the recipe from the OP any more difficult to understand than this:
4000 what of BB Galaxy? Grains? Do I need to count them out by hand? 20 Motueka flowers (at) 20 minutes? It's a bit hard to count them out when they come compressed. It might be easier if you used pellets.

I used a glass one of these for a while after melting the plastic case that came with my hydrometer. It turns out they break if you whack them on the tap while trying to shake the liquid out of it.
Other than that, it worked fine, measuring 1.000 was a bit of a challenge but my beers never...
My F&P 215L had enough cable inside that I was able to just disconnect it, install the collar, then reconnect it. The wires are connected with spade lugs so it's not difficult.
The way I see it is the fundamental difference between 2/3V and BIAB is that in 2/3V you remove the wort from the mash (and capture it in another vessel), and in BIAB you remove the grain from the mash (leaving the wort behind).
Using a bucket/solid sided bag doesn't really change much, and...
You can... it most probably won't be fully carbed up though. I used to crack the first bottle after a week but then try and leave the rest a bit longer.
I reckon professional brewers should be excluded (and I would expect that most, if not all, would not even consider entering an amateur brewing competition on principle).
FWKs/BOPs/whatever, let them in, but have a spot on the entry form that identifies the method that produced the beer (like...
My drip tray is the saucer from one of those rectangular plastic plant pots. Just manages to catch the drips from all 4 taps.
Brew stand is a multi-fold ladder with 2 old lengths of timber placed along the top. Esky mash tun sits on that, with the HLT up higher on an old milk crate.
And of...
