Esb Australian Draught - No Hop Pellets In Tin

Didnt seem to - it was definately differentt o the one that was peletted. Problem With Saflager W34/70 Yeast

Hiya Beerpig Running the temp controller at 12. I dont immerse my probe though, its stuck on the fermenter side under a big block of foam so it might be a degree or 2 warmer in the beer Dropped it to 10 yesterday to see if maybe I was running too hot but that hasnt helped either.

    Problem With Saflager W34/70 Yeast

Hi I've made a few ESB Australian Draught kits up recently with great results using Safale SA-04 yeast - never had any problems. Someone suggested trying a lager yeast with that kit. Seems with the cooler weather coming then it might be time to experiment with some lagers anyway so I decided...

    Buying A Secondary

OK cool, thanks - the reasoning I had read for adding small amounts of fermentables to the secondary was to produce a little CO2 to fill up the headspace, and I wasn't sure as to wether that was required or not. Cheers guys, thanks for the tips. Payday tommorow, followed soon after by a trip to...

    Buying A Secondary

Awesome thanks guys, plastic it is then! Anything special I need to consider when racking (sanitation aside)? I've done some bulk priming before so I guess its pretty much the same. I'm assuming you just run a tube out of primary from the tap, coil round bottom of secondary, sit the lid on...

Hiyas, putting my second brew together this weekend (ESB kit probably), and I'm going to try giving it a couple weks in a secondary So. I waltz into the local HBS, to avoid looking like a dork, what should I need to know about selecting a secondary! Reading around I got this far Glass Pros...
