I recently made a Blonde Ale with WPL550 and it had some really nice flavours fresh that seemed have dropped off after a few weeks. Everything I read about them said to that the longer you leave them the more complex the flavours got.

3068 is best under pitched. Stress those little yeasties! That said I'd still check the gravity like razz said. 3068 has always been slow to start for me, you could try rising the temp to about 20C see if that helps.

I have a double filter on our tanks carbon filter and a 5 micron. other then that I don't treat it any other way. Been drinking it for years not dead yet :D
