I tried one once acouple of years agao and I the one I got must have being in the shop for a while. It was very bland (watery tasting).
Haven't gone back to them but may try again with some hop additions one day.
Yep a wet towel does it for me. If you rinse it out and wrap around the fermenter everyday it cools my brew at least 4 degrees cooler. Worth a try. Also if you have it sitting on tiles or concrete I find it helps as well as the towel (depends on your situation of the house and all).

I have just put a Coopers pale ale down and used the kit int yeast that came with it. I had a normal yeast (reg coopers not international) in the fridge so I chucked that in also.
Is this ok?
Will it make any difference by putting both yeasts in?

I've used the cascade imperial voyager pale ale can before and havent touched that brand again. It was terrible. I've never brewed such crap before.
Left it for 6 weeks and it still sucked. Tipped it out on the lawn. (i dont think the lawn even enjoyed it) :)
